| Foi realizado um levantamento florístico de três remanescentes de floresta montana localizados na Mata Atlântica do sul da Bahia. Durante os anos de 2004 a 2008 foram feitas coletas periódicas de material botânico, principalmente ao longo de trilhas no interior dos fragmentos das áreas: Reserva Serra da Pedra Lascada - SPL, Reserva Serra das Lontras - SLO e Reserva Particular do Patrimônio Natural Serra Bonita - SBO. A riqueza florística em cada área foi comparada entre si e com outras áreas de Mata Atlântica na Bahia e no Sudeste do Brasil. Foi registrado um total de 1.129 espécies em 467 gêneros e 124 famílias. | This study tested the ecological apparency hypothesis in the community of Barroquinha, in the municipality of Lagoa, Paraíba State, Brazil. We used the Use Value (UV) by testing the information obtained through three types of calculations: UVgeneral, UVcurrent, and UVpotential. The botanical sampling was conducted in two areas of the community (Preserved - A1; Degraded - A2), and interviews were carried out with 66 people, who signed a Free and Transparent Consent form, required by the Research Ethics Committee. | The effects of disturbances on plant community structure in tropical forests have been widely investigated. However, a majority of these studies examined only woody species, principally trees, whereas the effects of disturbances on the whole assemblage of vascular plants remain largely unexplored. At the present study, all vascular plants < 5m tall were surveyed in four habitats: natural treefall gaps, burned forest, and their adjacent understorey. The burned area differed from the other habitats in terms of species composition. | Este trabalho consiste no levantamento das espécies de Rubiaceae encontradas na Serra da Fumaça - complexo de Serras da Jacobina, Bahia. No período de junho de 2011 a agosto de 2012 foram realizadas coletas mensais de material botânico ao longo de trilhas e no interior da floresta contemplando todas as fitofisionomias existentes na área. The new species occurs in “Serra de Baturité,” a relic of the Atlantic Forest. | ABSTRACT After a brief historical account of the genus, a new species, Marsypianthes tubulosa, from the Brazilian state of Tocantins is described and illustrated. The new species is similar to M. chamaedrys (Vahl) Kuntze, the most polymorphic species of the genus. It is distinguished from the other species of the genus by its habit and characters of the cyme, calyx and corolla. Comments on the taxonomy and distribution of the new species are provided, as well as a conservation assessment, distribution map, photographs and a black and white illustration. |

| This study presents a taxonomic account of the Papilionoideae (Leguminosae) from remnants of Atlantic Forest in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Norte. We recorded 68 species and 32 genera within the following tribes: Phaseoleae (11 genera/24 species), Dalbergieae (9/20), Swartzieae (3/3), Millettieae (2/4), Sophoreae (2/2), Abreae (1/1), Crotalarieae (1/3), Desmodieae (1/7), Indigofereae (1/3), and Sesbanieae (1/1). Ten genera and 32 species are newly recorded for the flora of Rio Grande do Norte. | O trabalho apresenta um levantamento das espécies encontradas na APA Serra Branca/Raso da Catarina, onde foram catalogadas 21 espécies distribuídas em onze gêneros: Mitracarpus foi o gênero mais representativo com quatro espécies (M. baturitensis, M. longicalyx, M. robustus, M. salzmannianus), seguido de Staelia (S. aurea, S. galioides, S. virgata), Diodella (D. gardneri, D. radula, D. teres), Borreria (B. spinosa, B. verticillata), Cordiera (C. rigida, Cordiera sp.) e Guettarda (G. angelica, G. sericea).
